It’s that time of the season for change
With summer fast approaching, officially starting on June 21, the changing of the seasons can be felt. Much like the seasons, GuRuStu has experienced many changes over the past few months. On February 16th GuRuStu received an Addy for Best of Show and another for the Out-Of-Home category at the 46th Annual Tulsa Addy Awards. Later we were pleased to learn we also received a Silver Addy at the Regional Level.
This recognition was given in honor of our 3D Wonderwall building projection show at the 2012 Mayfest, sponsored by Cricket Communications.
More recently GuRuStu did another 3D projection; this time projecting on ORU’s newest building, The Armand Hammer Student Center.
The biggest change we have experienced these past few months is moving our offices to downtown Tulsa’s evolving East Village District. GuRuStu recently purchased 100 ft. of 3rd Street. Since we have moved, not a day in our district has been merely stationary. Will Rogers famously said, “If you don’t like the weather in Oklahoma, wait a minute and it’ll change”. This statement also applies well to downtown Tulsa’s development. With the countless additions and transformations to our own building projects, there have also been numerous developments in the areas surrounding us.
We can hardly contain our excitement for East Village District and downtown as it undergoes more change. While envisioning what is in store for our city’s future, one thing is sure, it feels like this coming summer will shine a little brighter for Tulsa.
